A Casa Do Rio Guest House is an absolute gem. the charm of this old hotel perfectly blends with modern updates. the spacious rooms have comfortable beds with multiple pillows, and the windows can be opened to let in the cool night air. the hardwood floors and exposed beams give the room a cozy feel.
Although breakfast is not included, it is available for a reasonable price of 9 eu. Cons: Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like!

Right on the Camino to Santiago, about 100 metres from the bridge, perfect location for a pilgrim. Staff were so friendly, they even let use their washing machine for our clothes. The dinner in the evening was great, home cooked meal inthe hotel for €11. Rooms were big and airy, and very clean.

The value for money at A Casa Do Rio was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the river. The location was convenient, just a short distance from the Camino route. The staff treated us well and ensured we had everything we needed.
The morning meal could have been better, perhaps with more variety or options.

The hospitality. The guy at reception waited almost two hours for us and after all that time he was still ready to help my parents with their suitcases

The location of the hotel was not ideal, as it was a bit off the beaten path. the spacious rooms, comfortable beds with multiple pillows, and the option to let in the cool night air through the windows made it a pleasant stay. the hardwood floors and exposed beams added a charming touch, making the room feel like a cozy home.
There were not many nearby restaurants to choose from, making it difficult to find a place to eat.

We stayed at A Casa Do Rio Guest House and were impressed with the upmarket feel of the hotel. the set meal in the evening exceeded our expectations and was great value. the rooms were comfortable and the property had recently been renovated, giving it a fresh and modern ambiance. the stone building added to the charm, and the beds were particularly comfortable. the staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the nice quality breakfast. it was a great experience, especially considering the beautiful view of the river from our room. Cons: Nothing, everything was great! 👍.

Very enjoyable and relaxing. Good accommodation and excellent food and wine. Helpful staff. The restaurant and sunken bath were highlights of our stay. The staff was very helpful in recommending delicious local dishes, wines, and aperitifs. The hotel also had a modern vibe in the lobby and restaurant area, which we enjoyed.
The hotel is located across from a large, ugly factory that can be seen before approaching the hotel. It's a shame that such a beautiful location is marred by this view.

The staff at the hotel were great and very accommodating. They allowed me to bring my dog along, which was a huge bonus. The hotel itself was modern and well-maintained, with spacious rooms and a good bathroom. I also enjoyed the fact that the hotel offered a set meal in the evening, which exceeded my expectations and was great value for money.
The town where the hotel is located didn't have much to offer in terms of attractions or activities. Additionally, the staff could have been a bit friendlier.

Spacious, tidy room and bathroom with a bath. Comfortable beds. Convenient location near the bridge to Padron. Bar and laundromat nearby. Great for tired Camino walkers.
-
Andrew
Nice stone building. Comfortable beds. Good location near the river.
No headroom in the bathroom, especially in room 301. Inconvenient for sharing a room.
-
David
The beds were comfortable and clean, providing a good night's sleep. The staff was helpful and accommodating, even offering us two rooms instead of the one we had booked. The location was convenient for our trip, as it was along the Camino and offered a break before continuing on.
The town itself felt deserted and lacked amenities such as restaurants and grocery stores. The hotel also seemed overpriced for what it offered, considering the absence of amenities like a hairdryer and reliable WiFi.
